For those of you that missed it, Microsoft has finally revealed some more details on the PC release of the XBox One fighting game Killer Instinct (which is currently in its third season).
So what do we know at the moment? Well we know that it’s going to be on Windows 10 only as per the official blog post. If you have any arcade-style joystick or controllers for Xbox 360 or XBox one then those will both work with the PC version. However, the Xbox One controller compatability will be enabled with a future Windows 10 update.
In terms of the cross-platform capability, if you previously bought any characters or bought other downloadable content then that will transfer over to the PC version. On top of that, if you are on PC then you will be able to play against people on their XBox One.
The latest that we’ve heard from the good people at Microsoft is that Killer Instinct season 3 will come to Windows 10 PCs and Xbox on on the 29th of March. It’s going to be available from the Microsoft Windows 10 store.
A lot of you out there are probably asking at this point “Adi, will I be able to run Killer Instinct on my PC?” Well, here’s the full system requirements for the PC version of the game. As you will see, most mid-to-high end PCs will be able to run it. Personally, I have an Intel Core i5 760 CPU, 8GB of RAM and a GeForce GTX 660 graphics card so I think it’s fair to say that I will just about be able to run it. In fact, I upgraded my PC to Windows 10.

Unfortunately, there is no information as far as pricing goes for the PC version. Whilst this might be the case, it’s important to remember that Killer Instinct was launched as a free-to-play game back in late 2013.
Will you be picking up Killer Instinct when it comes out on PC? Let me know!
