Burnout Paradise is one of my favourite racing games. It was an open-world racing title where you could do things in the order that you wanted to do them. You could slam your opponents into the side of the road in a race, pull off some insane tricks in the Stunt Run events and much more. In fact, if you wanted to, you could just drive around and mess about in some of the playground locations (like the airfield). However, 10 years after the original was released, EA has announced that Burnout Paradise is coming back in the form of Burnout Paradise Remastered.
This is going to be a bit different. Of course, there were several add-ons/expansions released for the game: Boost specials, Toy cars and even cars inspired by the movies (such as Back to The Future). It will also feature the Big Surf Island add-on (more on that one in a moment). For now, know that all these add-ons will come with Burnout Paradise remastered.
Burnout Paradise Remastered will be available for the PlayStation 4 and XBox One on the 16th of March 2018. With that said the game will also come to PC later this year.
Big Surf Island will be part of the PC release later in the year. https://t.co/2evAIT2qWW

Interestingly enough a company called Stellar Entertainment are working on this one. I am not familiar with their work so it will be interesting to see how well they do with this one.
When the original game was released, there were many expansions released for it. Over a year later, there was an expansion pack called “Big Surf Island”. It was never released for the PC version of the game. However, with Burnout Paradise Remastered Criterion games has confirmed in a Tweet that Big Surf Island will be available in the PC version of Burnout Paradise Remastered. This has also been confirmed on Criterion’s website.
At the time of publishing, Criterion or EA has not confirmed if there will be a discount for those that own the original game.
Now, I have to say that Burnout Paradise was one of my favourite driving games. It was fun, fast and furious with a lot of stuff for you to do.
Overall it was an awesome experience for its time and it’s coming back! Will it be the same experience that we came to know and love? Only time will tell.
Will you be buying Burnout Paradise Remastered? Let me know in the comments!
