For those of you that missed this one, Apple has confirmed that they will be holding a special event on the 21st of March. The invite that went out to the press had the tagline: “Let us loop you in”.
The event itself is going to be taking place at the Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino California and will be starting at 10AM Pacific Time(5PM UK time).
Incidentally, Apple has also confirmed that they will be broadcasting live video of the event on their website. Here’s what you will need to watch it:
- Microsoft Edge on a computer running Windows 10
- Safari on an iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad(either one of these will do) running iOS 7.0 or higher.
- Safari 6.0.5 or newer on an Apple Mac computer (Macbook, iMac, Mac Pro or other Apple computer) running OS X 10.8.5
- Streaming via Apple TV requires an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) with software 6.2 or later or an Apple TV (4th generation).
We don’t know what they will announce for sure, but Apple have used an event in March (back in 2015) to announce a new Macbook and the Apple Watch as well as HBO Go(a service where you watch TV shows from the American TV channel known as HBO). With that being said, they have used a March event in the past to also announce a new iPad.
Another thing that I find interesting is that they are doing this event a day before they are due to appear in court. This is following on from Apple’s recent fight against the FBI. My take is that Apple might take the opportunity to mention their overall stance on this battle during the event. Either that or they will at least acknowledge it some form.
After the event is over, be sure to come back here to check out my analysis of any announcements that come our way.
What are your predictions for Apple event on the 21st of March? Let me know in the comments!
