I would like to wish everyone a happy new year for 2016. I hope that you have a most excellent year and that it brings you prosperity and a bunch of awesome!
For this article I am doing something a little bit different. I don’t have any product reviews or tech news to share with you here. Instead I wanted to talk about some changes to this website in 2016.
First of all, with my reviews I wanted to take a more critical approach and here’s how. Whether it’s software or hardware I want to end my reviews by answering a simple question: Would I buy this product?
When doing research on a product I know that many of you out there want to just skip to the end of a review to find out if someone recommends buying products. As such I want to try and give you a recommendation as well a rating on a scale of 10 points.
In all reviews, I will disclose how many days I used a product for. That way you can rest safe in the knowledge to ensure that my testing of products is complete and comprehensive. A good example of this is a smartphone. A person’s opinion of a smartphone after day one of using it will not be the same as their opinion after seven days of using it. Additionally if there are any problems with using the smartphone then I can find these out and share those problems with you. Most important of all you can find out how long a battery lasts by actually using a phone for a longer period of time.
I have been promoting the articles on this website by simply promoting them on social media and meeting people to tell them to come here. I have also seen a few people sharing the articles that I write and I appreciate it.
One other fact that I would like to disclose is that I do not have a team of writers helping me out it’s just me. I am the one writing, editing, fact checking and promoting them and all the other work associated with running a news website. I do the best that I can to bring you top quality technology news content. As you can imagine this is a lot of work for one person alone. This is where you come in.
I would like your help to grow this website a lot. Here’s what you can do: If you are on Facebook, twitter or Google +, tag three(or more) people who you think might like this website and recommend that they come over here. I want to have as many people as I possibly can coming here to read my articles. Most important of all, I have buttons at the bottom of each article so you can share the articles to your social network of choice (e.g. Google+, Facebook, Twitter and many others). I would love it to see my articles shared by as many people as possible. Most important of all, I would like to hear what you want to see me cover in 2016. Let me know by leaving a comment, or clicking on the “about this site” button at the top of the page and filling out the form there.
Going forward I want to aim to publish at least 1 article every week. This is because I have other commitments in my personal life. There is a lot of research that goes into each article that I write, so I would rather commit to some content as opposed to no content at all.
During January the annual consumer electronics show (CES) takes place between the 6th and the 9th of January 2016. This is the largest trade show where you get to find out about the products that you will be able to look forward to in 2016 and beyond. On the 7th of January I will be providing a detailed break down of the big stories coming out of CES.
I know that there are lots of ways for you to get your news. I would like to thank you for your support during 2015 and I hope that you will continue to support me in 2016.
