Nioh is an action game that was originally released on PlayStation 4 as an exclusive title. It shares a few similarities with the Dark Souls series of games. In a move which nobody anticipated, Koei Tecmo has announced that they will be bringing Nioh to PC in a tweet posted Monday on their Twitter account:

The game will be coming to the PC on the 7th of November and it will be available on the Steam store. For now, Koei Tecmo has already put up a listing for Nioh on the Steam store.
When you buy the game on the Steam store, you will also get the Dragon of the North, Defiant Honor, and Bloodshed’s End expansions. Additionally, you will also get the Dharmachakra Kabuto hat for your in-game character to wear (which is an exclusive item to the PC/Steam version of Nioh).
What kind of PC will you need to run this game? Well at the time of publishing this article, here’s the minimum system requirements per the listing for NiOh on the Steam store:
- OS: Windows® 10 64bit, Windows® 8.1 64bit, Windows® 7 64bit
- Processor: Intel® Core™ i5 3550 or over
- Memory: 6 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 780 VRAM 3GB or over AMD Radeon™ R9 280 VRAM 3GB or over
- DirectX: Version 11
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 100 GB available space
- Sound Card: 16 bit stereo, 48KHz WAVE file can be played
I have not played it at all, but I have seen enough footage of it to say that Nioh is definitely a great title and one that I would love to get my hands on. Sad as it is to admit it, I don’t have a PS4 (nor do I plan on getting one). As such it’s a pleasure to hear that this game is finally making its way to the PC.
