Nope, your eyes do not deceive you. Apple has announced that they will be holding another event on the 12 of September 2017. This time round it’s going be a bit different from previous years. For the first time, this event will be the first ever from the brand new Steve Jobs Theatre. This is the special venue that Apple built as part of their new Apple campus in Cupertino, California USA.
There was also an invite sent out to various members of the press which had the tagline “Let’s meet at our place” as shown in the above picture.
The event will begin at 10AM Pacific Time (6PM UK time, 7PM Central European Time) on the 12th of September 2017.
Of course, Apple will be doing a live video stream of the event on their website. Just be sure to tune in at the above times.
This is normally the time of year when Apple announces a new iPhone(along with its release date), the release date of MacOS High Sierra(the upcoming operating system for desktops and laptops). Sometimes, Apple also releases new desktop computers or laptop computers as well. Who knows, we might even see both at once. With that said, we will find out in less than two weeks what Apple has in store from us.
Whatever happens, I will definitely have articles with any announcements and my first impressions of any products that were announced.
Update: Per Apple’s website, here’s what you will need to watch the live video stream:
- You can view the stream in Safari on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch on iOS 7.0 or later
- You can also view it in Safari 6.0.5 or later on a mac with OS X v10.8.5 or later
- If you have a Windows 10 PC then you can watch the stream with Microsoft Edge.
- Streaming via Apple TV requires an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) with software 6.2 or later or an Apple TV (4th generation).
